The Photo Martha's Family Can Finally Display
This Philadelphia, PA family had a damaged wedding photo from the 1950s. They fixed it.
Martha from Philadelphia, PA had kept the old photo in a drawer for years. It was taken in the 1950s and showed Parents on their wedding day. But the photo had creases, fading, and damage from being stored improperly.
"My parents' wedding photo from 1952 had been folded and stored in a drawer for decades. There were creases right across their faces." Martha says. "I wanted to frame it but the damage was too obvious. You could barely see their expressions."
The Condition of the Photo
The photo had been folded at some point. There were creases across the faces. The edges had yellowed. Some areas were faded so much you could barely see the detail.

“My parents' wedding photo is finally something we can display. The damage is gone.”
— Martha, Philadelphia, PA
Sending It for Restoration
Martha scanned the photo and uploaded it to Made To Delight. She described the damage and asked if it could be repaired.
"I didn't know if the creases could be removed. Some of them went right through the faces."
The Restored Photo
The photo came back without the creases. The fading was corrected. "The creases are gone. Their faces are clear now. My sister has a copy hanging in her living room."

Restore old photos with creases, fading, or damage. Upload a scan and describe what needs to be fixed.
Restore an Old PhotoA Photo the Family Can Display
Martha ordered an 8x10 framed print of the restored photo. It hangs in the hallway now with other family photos.
"We couldn't display the original because of the damage," Martha says. "Now everyone can see what Parents looked like on their wedding day."
